The Renaissance 08'

Like any grad student, am also kinda stuck up when it comes to what projects to take up. but after exiling myself in the molecular physiology lab for about 5 months now, boy!! am i a proud soul!! seriously speaking, this is the first time, i have a feel for what it means to be in research. In my earlier days, no doubt, I've been a good student :)) but never was I research-oriented. After coming down to Canada and starting my Masters in Physiology at the University of Manitoba, I now understand what it means to be in the academia. hold on! it doesn't mean that being a researcher, u gotta be just involved neck-deep with publishing papers or reviews or writing grants, boy! its got its own fun too...i mean where in the whole goddamn world can u go ahead relying on your own critical thinking and abilities and carrying on wild experiments, with the hope that someday, of course!!, someday will u be able to discover something novel--the panacea!! With this hope and dream, I cherish my days in the scientific lab where I dont get drowned in cigarettes or beer but get the kick from absolute ethanol, formaldehyde and fumehoods!!
